The original Thornecomb delivers all the benefits of a softshell jacket whilst offering the compact fit of a jersey. Designed with performance in mind the Thornecomb has a close fit, akin to a jersey.
Fantastically versatile and lightweight softshell that's as comfortable as a jersey with the protection and performance of a jacket. The water-resistant outer fabric is made from recycled polyester with PFC free DWR, as part of our drive for a more sustainable and environmentally friendly range. The removable OCTA® Active Insulation lining offers great flexibility when you're just not sure what the weather will do, snap it in for warmth and comfort and remove it once you've warmed up.
OCTA® Active Insulation lining is comprised of lightweight and stretchable filaments, delivering game changing performance without the associated weight penalty. OCTA® insulation is designed to be absorbent, quick drying and provides excellent insulation with a soft and stretchy texture.
Please note: This jacket has a race fit; we recommend sizing up from your usual size to allow room for a base layer, or two sizes for a relaxed fit to allow for use as part of a multi-layering system. Please see below for size information

- The removable OCTA® Active Insulation offers flexible warmth & comfort performance on the move, start with it in place and remove mid-ride as you warm up.
- 10K water resistant protection & 20K breathability
- PFC free DWR coating to aid water resistance performance
- Stretch thermal jersey underarm panels aid freedom of movement and breathability
- 3 large pockets at rear with elasticated opening
- Additional zipper pocket for valuables
- Reflective panels at back pocket for added low light visibility
- Dropped hem at rear to protect from road spray
- Full length 2-way Vislon zip with zip garage & guard for protection
- Webbing zip pullers for easy opening
- Angled collar, lined in soft microfiber fabric, for comfort and weather protection
- Articulated sleeve panelling, for an 'on-the-bike' fit
- Soft gros grain ribbon back neck hanging loop
- No scratchy labels - care label is sewn flat

Not happy with your order? Return it within 100 days of receipt for a refund. Items must be in their original condition with tags attached. Currently, we do not offer exchanges.

What size should I order?
Our garments are designed for cyclists, true to size guide with a performance fit. You shouldn’t need to size up unless you like a more relaxed cut.
What is your return policy?
You can return items within 100 days, as long as they're unused and in original condition. Just fill out a returns form and post it back to us. Return shipping is at your cost unless the item is faulty or incorrect. We’ll refund you within 14 days of receiving the return.
Do you ship internationally?

Do you offer a warranty?
Yes — our kit is built to last & backed by a 2-year warranty. If something isn’t right, we’ll make it right. Just get in touch with our support team.
Can I exchange if the size isn’t right?
We don’t offer direct exchanges, but it’s easy to sort. Just return your item for a full refund, then place a new order for the size or item you need. If you paid shipping again, we’ll refund it — and we’ll match the price if your original order had a discount.
